Will a Suzuki GSX 400 Ignition Barrel fit a Bandit 250?

Hiya, I recently had my bike stolen and luckily it's been found. Didn't have insurance so trying to keep costs down. The garage working on my bike say they need to import an ignition barrel from Japan and it'll cost in the region of $300. However I can buy barrel from a GSX 400 for $50 dollars. Would this be able to be used on my Suzuki Bandit 250?

Would also love to know the answer to this, as I am in the exact same position.

You d need the piston ,rings ,etc to go to a 400cc bore to use that barrel so may not be able to use it on a 250
