SOURCE: how do you reset the throttle body limiter screw (

Do you have a vacuum comparison guage? You need some kind of guage setup to work on the TB sync.

Here is what I would do:
-perform a valve clearance check/adjustment to ensure everything is in spec. (this does make a difference!)
-Ride bike for 10-15 minutes, make sure it is fully warmed up.
-connect your vacuum guages to each throttle body.
-ensure that there is throttle cable slack on each throttle body. You don't want the cables holding the throttle plates open at this stage.
-set the brass air screws out equal turns on each side. Start with one and a half turns from bottomed.
-start engine (it may not want to idle, so open brass screws another half turn till it idles)and check vacuum guages.... see how far out things are at this stage.
-adjust throttle stop screw(s) so that each throttle body is set-up exactly the same.
-Once the throttle bodies are adjusted so that the vacuum is exactly the same at idle, start to remove slack from the throttle cables so that vacuum stays the same on each side as the throttle is opened.
-above all, you want the throttle plates to rest on the stops at idle and the cables adjusted with enough slack to allow this to happen. DO NOT tighten the cables too much as this causes the throttle plates to "bounce" at idle and wears out the throttle plate shaft bores quickly.

I think that about covers it, Post back if you have questions.

Throttle Body Problem

Check to see if there is a vacuum leak. Make sure the mounting bolts and nuts at the throttle body and intake manifold are tight. Did you replace the PCV valve?

My silverado is running about 1200 rpm"s, i changed the throttle body sensor, no difference, if i take out the pcv valve, it slows down, but shake it, it is good, the oil cap unscrew it it barley...

look for the idle air bypass valve it sounds like it is stuck open leaving the engine idle at too high of an rpm, that would explian the hard braking because it cant build any vacum for the brake booster to work.

2002 cadillc deville when you first start up the car will shut backdown, then once it starts the car has a low idle then will immediately go to a high idle, once you start to drive the idle goes up....

Have you had the trouble codes scanned yet? if this car has a manual throttle body, suspect vacum leak somewhere of a bad iac valve.

If this car has an electronic throttle body, suspect the throttle body itself OR sometimes ive seen the rubber boot in front or behind the throttle body rip and cause drivability issues.

Im assuming that there are ni mosfires or any other codes present. Its pretty hard to diagnose a problem like this over the internet but ill help you any way i can.

Keep putting in oil unless you have a pouring leak. Those northstar engines tend to both burn oil as well as leak it from the engines case halves. The only way to reseal the case halves of the engine is to remove it. Its honestly about a 20 hour job so like i said, right now it sounds like adding oil is going to be the way to go.

Check engine lightp0170 fuel trim bank one check engine code the light stays on problem comes and goes runs rough feels like its going to stall untill i press hard on the gas and runs fine again have...

I'm guessing your mixture is too lean and it's possibly running a bit rough and there isn't enough fuel getting to the engine. A rich mixture is too much fuel, but that error is usually related to O2 sensors. It might be the O2, but 'trim malfunction,' you're looking at a vacuum leak. Check the oil separator valve then the throttle body gasket and then the intakes. Most likely a vacuum leak and the throttle body, oil separator and intake are the most likely. Run your hand around the bottom of the throttle body and oil separator, if it's greasy/oily there, there's a leak.

If there is no leak, test the MAF sensors...they might need cleaning, and in a worst case scenario, might need replacing.
