I have an intriguing wiring problem between my trailer and my 2003 Honda Odyssey and also have a fairly routine problem with the running lights. The trailer harness is a basic 4 pin harness. The first issue: I had not used my trailer for six or seven month when I hooked it up to my Odyssey both turn signals would come on when I activated either turn signal. The brake lights works but the running lights do not (2nd problem.) After checking all the wiring for cuts and abrasions, trying new grounding locations on the trailer body and not resolving any issue I decided to buy a new wiring harness for the trailer. Before putting the harness on the trailer I tested the the turn lights which worked correctly (I did not test the running lights.) I put the harness on the trailer per installation instructions and hgooked it up to the Odyssey. Again, both light blinked when either the left or right turn signal was activated; in addition, the left side marker was blinking even though it was connected to the running light circuit (the side markers were disconnected on the old wiring harness.) Also, no running light. I drilled a new grounding hole in the trailer frame to make sure I had clean steel to ground to but to no avail. I hooked the trailer up to a different vehicle – same problems as above. I then took the the lights off the trailer and wired them to my old trailer harness connector and connected it to the Odyssey and tail light work correctly but no running lights. 2nd Issue- Running Lights I then check the voltage on the odyssey, no voltage on the running light pin, with car running, lights on. I check the 7.5 amp ACC relay fuse, its ok. Before I purchase a new Odyssey trailer wire harness, I would like to know if there are any other measures I need to take. Any other fuses to checks or simple things like that. I guess I can check for voltage where the harness connects to to car wiring. I'm not sure what going on with the trailer harness, it's brand new and I cannot find any defects with it. And any idea why the side marker light was blinking along with the turn lights when it was hooked up to the running light circuit. I cannot figure out how that current bled over? Why would the turn signals work correctly on the harness before it was installed on the trailer but not after it was installed? Maybe my trailer is haunted. Any help with these problems would be greatly appreciated.
SOURCE: no daytime running lights (tail lights)
Converters are important in wiring system , replace and check wires and fuses that are worn out .and check the car battery.

The Running Lights are BROWN, the RIGHT Turn is GREEN, the LEFT Turn is YELLOW and White is GROUND.
SOURCE: I have a problem when hooking up a trailer, the
test the connection with lights on using a test light, if none turn the test light on, make sure the ground is good, recheck your new connection. maybe it's connected to a relay, if it is, test the relay by bypassing it. it's all a process of elimination. a wiring diagram for a trailer is useless because people hook them up by the means they got. again, it's a process of elimination. to hook up the lighting, first do the tail lights, then the signal lights, thay are also used as brake lights as they are brighter
