Du2005 indicates it's a 1963 model, the first year of the "Unit Construction" engine (engine and transmission one unit, rather than the prior "Pre-Unit Construction engines)

1963 serial numbers run from DU101 to DU5824

How to identify motor size and type on 1966 triumph motorcycle

http://motorbike-search-engine.co.uk/classic_bikes/triumph-classic-motorcycles.php This link should help. I had a 550 way back when. There was also a Bonneville model that was 660. Both are side by side twin cylinders. The bike was not hard to work on but it rattled and required chain adjustments and frequent maintenance on the crappy electrical (Lucas) system.

Problems in wet weather and cleaning my triumph won't start.

Water is getting into your ignition coils.
Trace the spark plug lead up to the coil.
Get some ignition sealer spray and spray loads of it on the leads and coil.
When a bike is new, it is sealed. After washing with detergents it gets washed away. Spray the leads and coil once a week to keep them totally dry.
An immediate way to get round when wet is to spray wd40 on the leads and coil, it should start straight away.
But, don`t spray ignition sealer on until it is totally dry.
Hope this helps
