Ok i have got a 1999 cbr 250rr when i brought it i put in a brand new battery. took it for a ride and about 3 hours later the battery has died but not fully.. the lights and everything still come on but just wont turn over? what can i do to fix it?
Hi there i have the same problem on my bike so i done a service i changed oil, oil filter and all four spark plugs and still nothing but as i think it could be leads coils or hope not but it sounds like cylinders are not firing and it may need a engine rebuild i wish you all the best and good luck fixing your bikes
Sound like you have a fuel problem.Turn the key without starting the bike listen for a slight buzzing noise it will come from where the end of the tank and the seat meet this is the fuel pump priming if you can not hear anything then most likely your fuel pump is not working.Your carbi may have grit in a jet a carbi cleaner can help.
I hope this helps!

I would replace the battery. Over time the cells of the battery can sulfate and cause it to not be able to keep a charge. First start it and with an ohm meter check that it is charging at at least 12.8 to 13.2 volts at idle. If it is it is the battery and it needs replacing.
sounds like it could have a blown solinoid fuse check fuses, sometimes the solinoil fuse is located on the solinoid itself.Could be A shot sidestand switch or clutch cut out switch.to check solinoid & starter motor.Place a jumper lead on Batt. posative, other end to solinoid if it tries to start check previously mentioned switches. If still nothing, conect to other side of solinoid,if motor sounds solinoid is the problem
Hope this helps Regards Andrew Porrelli
Black exhaust is from too much fuel. You may have a carburator float sticking. That will cause excess fuel to go into the cylinder, and if it can't "compress" it, it will knock.
It sounds like the choke line may not have been routed correctly when the new one was installed. Remove the gas tank and check to see that the line is not beingstretched anywhere along the way AND that the gas tank when re-installed is not stretching the line. The line may have been kinked when installed. Look at the mechanical movement of the choke at the carb. Does it operate freely? Remove the air filter and look inside the center of the carb, (you may need to use a small mirror for this), does it look like the choke is opening and closing properly when the choke is moved on and off?
ello m8,,hows things,,clean out the air filter 1st, change all your plugs mr,try that , if nothing u will need to get the carbs balanced to by a bike shop, mechanic,,unless u have carb gauges,,, itl be easier if they do it,, try these 1st m8,, if no joy come back and il go threw step 2 with yuh,,
you say its see its been serviced if i was you i would buy new plugs if that doesnt work try cleaning carbs and fuel filters and as to starting a 4 stoke they usualy need full on choke in cold weather when you buy plugs get a hotter rated plugs /before you try above take out spark plug/s and brush end that goes into engine with a small wire brush clean well then warm plugs with lighter or burner and replace then try to start bike
