1. Make sure fuel is freely flowing from gas tank. 2, Take carb to a professional and have him clean and set it - especially the float level.

SOURCE: won't idle steadily

Check the rubber boot that joins the carby to the engine to often have seen the hose clamps over tightened therefore creating a split in the rubber letting to much air in giving the rough idle eventually you wont be able to start it at all (have a good thorough look inside an outside of boot doesnt take much)

You need to ensure for the Carburettor Needle fixed, so that the fuel injected out properly, also if the Crank Gasket should be fitted properly.

SOURCE: KLX 250 won't fire - new battery

-check the fuse right hand side below the fuel tank and seat, see if it is blown.
- Check to see if plug has spark, replace if necessary .
- Did you run the bike with a low battery before replacing it? could be that your stator is shot.
-Is bike trying to start but won't?

Klx250 wont run it has spark new battery and cleaned carby but wont fire up will occasionaly start and run fine

Remove the filter or filter connection to the back side of the carb and spray it with starter fluid. If it starts when you do that each time, the carbs still have a problem and need to be cleaned out again or adjusted correctly.

Bought 2004 Kawasaki klx 125 and takes 20-30 kicks to start with choke on and even more when cold. Won't run right until motor warms up n takes a while for it to warm up. Runs fine after it does but it's...

Be certain the battery is in good condition. Install a new spark plug. Clean the carb and air filter. Use the throttle sparingly. The carb has a power valve that gives an extra shot of gas each time the throttle is twisted. Too many twists and the engine floods out. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Kawasaki ke 125 runs for about 2 minutes stalls then when kicked over will idle sometimes but not take throttle left for a while will run again for 2 mins

Go to the dealer and ask for the stock plug for your bike. Check for spark on the new plug then install the plug.

Remove the carb , dissemble it and clean the varnish out. Remove the petcock, ( gas valve ),water trap and clean it out. Next let one cup of gas flow into a container. Any water or rust in the bottom of the container? If any rust was in the water trap or the container then purchase an inline fuel filter to eliminate the rust getting into the carb.

If cleaning the carb yourself does not do the trick then take it to the dealer and have them clean it and install a car kit. This should eliminate the carb as a problem. Get a new air filter and install it.

Now you have spark, gas and air. If it still will not start it is likely that you need new crank seals. On a bike that old you may well need new crank bearings as well.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!
