Where is the fuel filter situated on jaguar xj12 1993 model has anybody got a diagram

I am asking this as it splutters when i put more revs on

On a 1993 XJ12 the fuel filter is bolted to the underside of the car on the nearside near the rear wheel well.

Have the coil checked. That was what mine was like and the coil had a crack in it. also nreplaced the plug wires, they were arched.

courier%20injector%20pump%20inlet%20filter.jpg Undo the fuel inlet Banjo bolt and carefully fish with a piece of wire bent at the end (as pictured) and fish out the filter (under the spring) wash and replace. Can be very fiddly, so patience is a must.a2cb1b7.jpgecc55b3.jpg

When you say changed the exhaust, did you change the catalytic converter also? This sounds like your problem.

Hi Big, Have the fuel filter replaced and if the fault persists take the vehicle taken for an electronic scan. You may that the fault is the air flow sensor, or an intermittent fault with either the crank or cam sensor. The scan will pin point where the problem is. Regards Johngee10

jaguar x-type 2ltr diesel 2004 the glow plug warning light flashing, was told dirty fuel on fault code all fuel changed and filters. No problems for 20 miles untill engine was put under power on high revs went into limp mode, warning light glow plug falshing again? any ideas thanks.

Have you tested the fuel pressure, sounds like a plugged fuel filter if the engine runs smooth and does not mis-fire.
