I have a Honda vtx1300r with new pipes and air cleaner and it bogs when accelerated at low rpms. It will start fine and stay running fine, but when I take off it will bog and I have to accelerate harder. What could be the problem? The problem started after I installed the air cleaner, I already had the pipes on, no problems with them.
SOURCE: Starts and runs. Needs choke to sta running except high rpms,
SOUNDS LIKE IT'S RUNNING LEAN. TRY PULLING THE FLOAT BOWLS OFF THE CARBS AND CLEANING THE JETS. ESPECIALLY IF IT SAT FOR A LONG TIME. FUEL TURNS TO GEL.

Try to check out the Idle Air Control Valve, it could be dirty or defective and the vacuum lines if they are not leaking. If that does not solve it have the Fast Idle Thermo Valve checked.
