Bought a yamaha sr 125 1998 model and all was good, then got home to find oil leeking from the left hand side of the engine and noticed u solved someone elses problem on the same bike. Just wondered if u ahd any suggestions?? cheers for your help.
Hi Dan.
Thanks for the direct ask. As top fuel has said. Most probably the output shaft seal behind the engine sprocket that is leaking. You may have to do a bit of de-greasing about that area to spot the leak and even take off the sprocket to tell for sure it is leaking. A new seal can be inserted from the outside. A repair shop should not charge you too much to replace it, or get yourself a workshop manual for the beast and have a go yourself. Happy to talk to you more about it. Good Luck.

If bike sits on side stand all fluids will drip off the left side check the front sprocket shaft seal that might be the culprit
