Rgv 250n bike wont rev past 4000 rpm when hot, carbs ok , replaced cdi and some wireing, intermitent fault only happens when hot and feels like your running out of fuel then pickes up then dies again, wont goe past 4 grand, when under load wont go past 4 grand, when in neutral revs ok, any answers for my problem
the CDI is an original Suziki PEI (Pointless Electric Ignition); you might also check the regulator and the battery/connections. Overvoltage (when revved) would cause the PEI to clampdown to protect itself and therefore no ignition; additionally, inspect for vacuum and/or air leaks.
Check and perform preliminary visual or necessary inspection. Pls post back result(s). Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

Could be a crack in the boot between the carb and the head. this cracks usually from back firing. also check the exhaust flange to ensure that it is tight. Have you checked the valve clearances lately.
check your gear ratio ie chain and sprokets if thay are to high of a ratio this will happen . as these bikes dont start to make power untill thay rev up hight . thay are tuned for top end revs and speed
