I would say no but if you know a good engineer or if you're a dab hand at metal work you'll be able to mod them to fit

SOURCE: left exhaust pipe is turning a gold colour for approxiamtely 12 inches from the engine

It is normal. One cylinder & pipe are a bit hotter than the other. It is not at all unusual to see one pipe discolored more than the other.

SOURCE: Oil leak by exhaust pipe

I am not personally familiar with a 1975 DT250, but here is a general overview. If the bike is a 4 stroke, the oil you observed could have been from the exhaust, however it is more likely that it is from a leaky valve cover gasket or a head gasket. If the bike is a 2 stroke, the "oil" is from the exhaust (expansion chamber). It is excess 2 stroke oil that accumulates. You should reduce the mix to 32:1 or even 40:1 and replace the oring gasket in the opening of the pipe. If in a pinch you can use high temp silicone, but not a good way to go.
best wishes!

SOURCE: 2004 rm 85, 2 stroke

The silcolene does not burn as well as standard two stroke oil. The unburned oil has to go somewhere and out the exhaust is it. Get a new gasket anyway. It should help.

SOURCE: get oil on rear fender from exhaust pipe

you probably just have too much oil in your gas. Its not a problem, just a waste of oil. I used to use 20:1 but i had that problem. i switched to 24:1 and it stopped.

I need a complete exhaust for my Daelim daystar vl 125, do you have any suggestions?

Best place for daystar VL125 parts is in Germany but they ony deal with countries that trade in the euro so I had to get a friend in germany to purchase and re-ship to me in the UK
go to link
http://www.dataparts.de/index.php?language=en
or direct from Hyosung, http://www.cka.com.sg/ this can cost a lot and take a long time.
Best engine oil for daystar is royal purple and stay away from after market rear sprockets as they don not fit properly and can jusp off from the circlip.
As an alternative for your exhaust do as I did an get an aftermarket universal slash cut from fecked and fit when you cut your front pipe just before the Y split, you will have to spot weld an origional little vl125 baffle into it but it will sound great, mine does!

Muffler putty, no. If you have it off, take it to the local welder. They can tell you if it is fixable. Usually your best bet is to just spend the money and order a new original equipment replacement part (if a good salvage/used part is not available. Be sure to replace the exhaust gasket in the head when you put the pipe back on. EBAY may be a good source of a good used head pipe.

Loss of power with new exhaust

You didn't say if the new exhaust was the factory stock unit for your bike or an aftermarket pipe. The aftermarket pipes are generally not well manufactured. The factory pipes are well made but even they have internal flaws at times.

The flow of exhaust gasses is being held back by the baffles in the muffler. Some mufflers have an end baffle that can be removed from the end of the pipe. If one is present, remove it. This may help. Aside from that, return the new pipe and ask for a refund or replacement.

1984 chevy s10 exhaust

No, 2 pipes the same size will not go together. You will need to probably buy an adapter. Lets say you have a pipe 2 1/4 outer diameter "od" " that is measuring from the out side edges across the pipe, you will need a pipe with an inside diameter "id" of 2 1/4 . you get that measurement buy measuring the inside of the pipe. so a pipe with a 2 1/4 od will fit a pipe with 2 1/4 id. .. hope that helps

Best thing to do is take a piece of pipe from the truck and take the cat to the auto parts store and get all the adapters that way. That way you know for sure you got all the right parts.
