This was a problem with the old time bultco's. as the ignition timing was to close to Top Dead Center and it would push the crank backwards sometimes when starting.

Depending if the ground clearance is the same then yes the wheels should fit another 125 bike, Like Many SM wheels are used on WR and WRE models.

My Kawasaki zx6r 2009 keeps displaying f1 and with a flashing red light. The bike runs fine. Sometimes shuts off while warming up. how do I fix it?


it actually means fault indicator and doesn't deal solely with the fuel injection.

put the key in the ignition and turn it on, but don't start the bike. use the mode button to go to the odometer display, then hold the mode button down for 2 seconds. the code should be displayed.

I have a Kawasaki Vulcan vn 750 starts and runs 10 to 20 min then will shut down like I turned the key off


hello,the 2 most common problems associated with your bike are; crank angle sensor [which pulses a message to the ecu,to synchronise a hi energy spark to the plugs,as well as turn on the fuel relay,the other 1 is a defective fuel pump,or it's associated relay.hope that helps, regards.

2007 Road King Classic stalls unexpectedly when driving...no sputtering, just shuts down...starts back up whether stationary or driving...but no warning about cut off


Will the bike start up without turning off? If you have to turn ignition off then on again before it will start it may be the bank angle sensor gone faulty. This will set NO error codes in memory as it is NOT a recognised fault. ECU simply thinks bike has fallen over and shuts engine down.

2006 Kawasaki ZX-6R ECU fuse keeps blowing


Hi, Joshua before diagnosing your blown fuse issue, check the bottom of your seat, if its metal and comes in close proximity to the positive battery post you need to take the necessary steps to ensure there is no contact (electrical tape, thick rubber insulation, hammer a dent in the seat bottom etc.) You are going to need a wiring diagram from your service manual, a test light, an ohmmeter and plenty of extra fuses.
If you turn on your ignition switch and immediately blow a fuse you have a hard/dead short and is usually easy to find. With a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder start stabbing the wire/s that leads away from the fuse holder and towards the ignition switch, you test light will illuminate validating the short. When the test light fails to illuminate you have passed the short and need to back up until the test light illuminates, then look in the immediate area for the short.
If you driving down the road for 30 minutes or 15 miles and blow a fuse you have soft/flying short and may take some time and patience to find.
If the main fuse/circuit breaker constantly blows/trips while riding you probably have a faulty battery terminal connection. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary. Any other fuses that constantly keep blowing while riding are usually caused by a loose or corroded ground wire in the circuit, which means you have to check, inspect, test each and everyone with an ohm meter set on a low ohm scale 100 ohms or less . Simply touch one lead to the ground source and the other lead to the battery negative terminal, a reading of zero indicates a clean solid ground. Any number reading or infinity indicates a poor ground and needs to be repaired. Poor or weak grounds require excessive additional amperage to complete the circuit which in turn blows the small amperage fuse.

Is there a heat sensor on my yamaha raider that shuts off the bike when overheated


My 2013 model has an engine auto stop system. If the bike idles for 20 minutes, it'll shut down. I'll get an error code of 70. Just restart and the code will clear. Your bike may be the same.

My sons fuel injector light on his 2007 suzuki gsxr 600 keeps coming on. he had the bike checked out and they can not find anything worng. why would it keep coming on?


if bike has had after market muffler fitted the exup contol unit plug to original muffler will have been disconnected caused light to come on,you can buy a bridge plug that tricks ecu into thinking exup is still connected. if muffler still std bike will need to have fault codes read out with tester to see what problem is .

Fell off my 2008 r1 in august,lost it and slid away from minor fairing damage right clip on broke.bike will not tick over and missing alot,bat was flat,. error 1 displayed on clock


This is what error 1 means.

Er-1 ECU internal malfunction
(output signal error)
No signals are received from the

FI LIGHT COMES ON AND LOSES POWER THEN IT SHUTS OFF THEN FINE


It could need the ECU software updated, some manufactures are still screwing up they're fuel injection, the dealership should do free of charge. Failing that it could be something as simple as dirt in the injectors which should work itself free in time. Cant see it being something major on such a new bike, as I said contact your dealership to see if there's an update.

I've had zero responses in the general forum so thought I'd try here...here's the story: I purchased a new ECU due to mine being kaput. The bike fires right up and runs great but... All attempts at reprogramming/mating the ECU to the rest of the bike have for lack of a better word failed. The issue? When I start the bike, the immobilizer light comes on during initial turn to on then goes out as normal. About 1 or 2 seconds later it comes back on and stays on. The bike runs great but this light is driving me nuts. When I shut it back off the immobilizer light flashes for 48 hours as normal. I've tried complete red-black-black-red key reprogramming but the dang light won't stay out when the bike is running. Any thoughts?,,,,

FZR 400R Deltabox Exup. wont idle properly Howzit everyone. I have a "small" issue with my FZR 400R Deltabox Exup. So it doesn't want to idle properly(the moment I reduce the idle speed to any point below 3000rpm it continues to drop and dies) and also revving the bike it bogs around 6000rpm doesn't go any higher. When restricting the airflow through the airbox it revs better(all the way to 14k rpm) but still doesn't want to idle as the revs then hang on it's way down. I suspected this was all caused by an air leak somewhere, sprayed some quick start on the boots between the carbs and the intake as well as between the airbox and the carbs with no jump in the revs. Nevertheless I sealed the boots just to make sure they aren't the problem. I then stripped the carb and cleaned it properly, put everything back together, sorted out their syncing and reset the mixture screws to 3.5 turns out(which sounds a bit far out, but thats what the manual said-since then I've tried everything from 0.5 to 4 turns out with no significant effect). Then the cylinder started acting up(not firings- a different cylinder about every third time the bike was started) I then replaced the spark plugs with new ones(NGK cr9ek as per the manual) after that cylinder 1,2 and 3 was firing, but 4 was still dead. I Replaced the coil, leads and caps, still not firing. I checked the compression, which was fine, I checked the valve clearance (cylinder 4 the one intake valve was way out of spec, so i replaced the shim), still not firing. I've got no idea what else could be the problem or what to check next. PS. When i pulled the spark plugs(both new and old) they where burnt black so I'm not sure if my jetting could be out of spec perhaps?
