Question about Yamaha DT 125 R Motorcycles
What I've done.... -Changed Spark Plug -Cleaned Carburetor -Cleaned Air Filter -Waterproofed Electrics (WD40) Bike starts first time without choke. Sputters at mid range rpm and loses power. Seems to be letting in the water somewhere. after allowing the bike to dry out for a while, all seemed ok except the engine revving high. with the engine turned off and in first gear, the bike rolls back, then locks, then rolls back, locks again etc....(bike should not roll at all in gear.) Also, there is a Led on the speedometer which I think indicates the engine temperature and this is lit up red. I've checked my coolant level which was empty at the time so now have topped up and light is still on?? I know this sounds like a lot of problems but I'm hoping there's a simple/cheap solution and I appreciate any help.

well at first in wont fit because the cooling (LC) system will not fit the 02, but with a little welding and some alum works, you will be able to fit it.
the only difference will be the placing of the mount, weld holes and drill holes on the frame, but before you do so, remove all electric components from the frame.

Try the air filter first (make sure it's clean). The needle valve on your carb slider could be bent, or not seated correctly or just set wrong. If you have a power exhaust valve, it could be set wrong or malfunctioning as well. Good luck.

Even though I am unfamiliar with your bike I will give this a try on the condition that You give me a "Helpful" rating or better. Like you, I am unable to comprehend pigeon English.
A spark plug can go bad at any time. Get a new plug. Put the wire on the plug then ground the metal side of the plug against the cylinder head as you press the starter button. Look for the spark. If no spark, check the side stand kill switch. It kills the engine so that you don’t start out with the side stand down. If broken or out of adjustment, it would kill the spark. Check for a broken wire at the side stand switch and coupler. Try moving the kill switch by hand. If that doesn’t work then wire a jumper around the switch to bypass it. Check the fuses. How good is the battery? Is the handlebar kill switch on? Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter.

First thing I would try is some sea foam, you can get it pretty much at any auto parts store...put it in the tank per instructions on the bottle, if the carbs are gummed/dirty... seafoam is you best hope at getting them clean without pulling them.
If sea foam doesnt work, you'll have to yank the carbs, but before you do... pull the tank, set it backwards where the seat was, get about a two foot fuel line (air line works just fine) run it ti the tank and start the bike, take a can of starting fluid (WD 40 works too but stinks when it starts to burn off afterwards) and spray around the base of the outside of the carbs where the boots connect it to the intake, if the engibe revs, you have a leak...cracked boot probably.
If no leaks are detected... then yank the carbs, pull the bowl covers and start cleaning....also, while you have them off pull the slide covers off and check the diaphrams on the needle for rips or cracks as well.
Check/clean.. put everything back together... if it still isnt running right then I have no other suggestions... certainly sounds like an air/fuel problem... if were anything else choking it wouldn't make it better.

i got the same problem with my dt 125, it got high rev even if i pull the spark plug cap free from the spark plug it keeps on reeving, it will just stop if i pull the choke on, any smart ideas please? im all out of it,
