Yamaha dt125r sm keeps overheating and cutting the engine off

The engine overheats really easy and fast and then cuts the engine off and takes about 10-15 minutes to cool down before it will start again

SOURCE: engine cutting out with the choke off

Adjust your idle screw on your carb so that it gets more gas just sitting there at idle. Tighten the screw one and a quarter turn and then start the bike. Adjust the idle to where you think it sounds normal. If that doesnt work check your float in your float bowl, it might be stuck in the down position. Clean with some carb cleaner spray and make sure it moves freely before putting the float bowl back on, youll have to choke it or prime the carb again to get it started. All the choke does is let in more gas and oxegen so you might want to check how far the carbs close when you push the choke back in. Is it impeading any normal carb setting. Check that too. Good luck.

SOURCE: My MT-03 engine shuts down while driving and won't start again.

Checking the colour of the plug may tell you what the general state of tune if like for the bike, but the sudden stops sure sounds like ignition system failing. Fuel delivery still there, although it may well be flooding/overfueling for some reason when the problem occurs.  I suppose you have checked the VIN (RM021000000000301 to RM021000000008715)  just to be sure that your bike if not one of those affected by the recall. I would be asking the Yamagents to check for the mods/recall to be sure that whatever the solution is has actually been done to yours. The reference to wet weather would be inclining me to follow that up to the max. Sounds too close to the problem to not be it.

SOURCE: I HAVE AN OLD YAMAHA SR 125 ITS REVS GO UP AND

Remove the water trap bowl at the bottom of the petcock, (gas valve). Any water or trash in the bowl? Drain a cup of gas from the tank. Any water or trash in the cup? Dump it, clean it and re-mount it, ( not all bikes have a water trap bowl ).

Drain the carburetor. There should be a screw on the lower side of the carb float bowl. Remove the screw then replace it after the fuel drains. Turn the gas back on and wait a minute for the carb to fill with gas. Install a new stock NGK spark plug and try to start the engine. If the bike doesn't start and run properly then shut off the gas and remove the carburetor from the engine.

Remove the float bowl and clean the entire carb with a spray carb cleaner from the auto parts store. Wear protective goggles to avoid getting spray in your eyes. Spray into all the little airways and fittings in the carb. Remove the two screws on the outside throat of the carb and spray into the screw holes as well.
< < READ CLOSELY > >
Be sure to put these two screws back in the same hole they came out of. IMPORTANT > do not tighten these two screws down. Only screw these in until they LIGHTLY seat. Now turn each screw one and one half turns outward. Put the rest of the carb back together, clean the air filter and install the carb. Let the float bowl fill then start the engine. Set the idle speed with the idle screw. This process should get you back on the road.

Since you mentioned uneven idle revs, be sure the carb and manifold are on tight and also tighten the cylinder and head. Air leaks can screw up the idle.

Why do my headlights on my 2004 dodge durango cut off while driving down the road

engine stalls on the fly driving ,
has huge causes.
do head lamps die too , at same time?
does a fast right foot save it? or delay it or even cure it. ???????
do all electrics die or some only?
does it restart easy or only if let cool off the engine ( or restarts easy)
ever get a tune up in 18 years spark parts, filters all?

engines can sure do that for vast reasons even 50.
in macro form, a bad engine, bad spark , bad fueling, in that order.
there are many tests, for all that ,like 3 years of ASE study.
1: fuse blew and stalled, even pump fuse. but will not restart.
2: engine bad or just EGR stuck open or cats melted but again does it restart or even run cold to fail later, if does skip this. most times.
(keep in mind seen cylinders fail hot, valves in head stick open hot)
engine overheated some models of car, my 04chev, even cuts dead cylinders if engine overheats or even stalls it, as to not wreck it self.
3: bad spark, if ECU sees spark hard fail it cuts fuel, fix spark.
4: loss off fuel or too much./ too much floods engine, injectors stuck open or go dead/

there are a bevvy of tests to do in order.
just get it serviced if dead now say so
dead engines are easy to diagnose, and 10x safer too not moving.

Comfort Zone CZ220 5000-Watt, 240v Hard Wired Fan Heater. The cutoff and the red light came on. What causes this to happen? I'm thinking it's overheating but what would cause it to overheat?

Question edited for a lot more clarity. A lonely model number in Cars and Trucks category doesn't cut it. FULL 'make model (what it is)' please.

Fan not spinning fast enough or thermostat not working properly. Possibly a faulty overheat cut out.

Engine Overheating

no other signs just the dash gauge, upset? what if its fibbing?
no steam, no water to ground overflowing overflow tank.
no engine pinging. no lost power, from engine, SIGNS. are key. here.
Did you consider using a IR pyro gun for $20 and find if it is really overheating,? the gun also finds clogged rad tubes, childs play like.
are you loosing coolant. that is when cold actually off the cap
and look down deep in the RAD tank? This matters, most.

which engine,? 2.5,4L or bigger?
what does no coolant going into...., mean.?
it's a loop system.
first off, we need to know does it overheat only parked?
or can you drive it from cold and keep it going and it never overheats
moving fast.?
if the engine stays cool 180F, moving fast , then your stop. and NOW it it overheats, that means the fan is dead.
or a marginal radiator, (Pyro gun to rescue)

Check out the coil. When a bad coil heats up it can become open circuit - closing up again as it cools.

Idling the bike, wont hold an idle

It sounds as if you have dirt in your fuel line or some bad gas.
I would recommend draining your tank and cleaning it, then replace your fuel filter.

For some unknown reason(s), the Live Session was cut short. Our apologies for any inconvenience.

Perhaps you could try again? The old session/chat would no longer continue.

Cheers.
