SOURCE: trying to remove seat center

Look underneath the bike at the bottom of the seat tube of the frame. There is a nut with a special "washer" on the end of the rod in the "pogo stick". Take the nut off and the spring loaded shock comes out of the seat post of the frame.

How do I remove seat of Harley-Davidson Trike?

Make sure the passenger backrest is out of the way first. Open the lid on the tour pack, lift the padded backpad and fold it back into the tour pack, trapping it under the lid as you close it. The screw will then be fully accessable. A magnetic screw driver is a nice thing to have. Drop the screw down into the works once or twice and you'll know what I mean.
Hope this helps.

Does anyone know of a drivers backrest for the dx

I doubt seriously if you're going to find a drivers back rest for your V-rod. The reason is the back rest is cnsidered to be a "touring" accessory and the V-rod is not generally considered to be a touring motorcycle.

I'd do a search online for "motorcycle seats" and see what comes up. Try Mustang Motorcycle Seats. They have good quality seats and reasonable prices. They also have the drivers backrest for a lot of their seats. If they offer a seat for the V-rod, maybe drop them an e-mail and ask about it.

Good Luck

The relay that runs the fuel pump on a 97 electraglide, where is it?

Under the seat right behind the battery you will see 4 relays, it is easier to change relay if you remove battery first.
