1983 suzuki GS 550 L motorcycle

I just bought this bike. i put key in ign. and the nuteral light comes on and that is all . try to start it and nothing. put the batt. on charger on 2amp charge for 24 hours, and still nothing. my guess is that i need to check the wires. help please.

Cross the 2 bolts on the starter relay/solonoid with ignition on. does this start it. ( it may spark a tad)

There is no trick put the key in turn it and lift, some of the older machines had a lock and a catch, look to the rear of the lock for a catch, if this is as yours is you have to operate both at the same time

I need help reattaching the fuel lines and vent lines on 1982 Suzuki GS 550L

this bike has a vacuum tap one pipe from carbs will have suction when cranking motor this pipe attatch to smaller pipe on tapyou will have athicker pipe from carbs(fuel supply ) attach to thicker pipe on tap breather pipes run over air box and down

I have a 1983 suzuki gs550 it wont starts when hot

check the spark plugs better replace them make sure they are to the specs of the engine of yr bike.
You may have to clean the carbs too!
