SOURCE: I just purchased a 1982 Honda Nighthawk 750 and

The battery is accessed by removing the right side cover. Just tug gently on each corner and it should pop off. To remove the seat, locate the two bolts, one on each side near the rear of the seat. With the two bolts removed, lift the seat up and back to remove it.

SOURCE: 93 Honda Nighthawk 750, when I pull in the clutch

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Check / replace the diode that connects the clutch switch and neutral switch. The diode normally would have green/red and light green/red wires.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

SOURCE: BAD TACHOMETER WIRE LOSE,NEED TO BREAK CIRCUT IN

Believe it or not, a bad battery or loose connection at the voltage regulator/rectifier can cause this problem. It is caused by the charging system surging.

My 82 750 Nighthawk and the headlight does not work before and after it starts

First, test for voltage at the plug that attaches to the headlight, if you have voltage at each terminal when set to it's respective hi or low position it could only be your headlight. If you don't have voltage then you need to work back from the wire to the switch and etc etc

sounds like you have to clean out the carbys. you should be able to at least drain them without taking them apart.
