does this bike have a separate single filament bulb for both running light and brake light or one bulb with a dual filament?

have you checked the brake switch? its a plunger like device that when the brake is pressed, activates the electrical signal to turn on the brake light.

You have a corroded ground in the back light bar..remove the rear light bar from the fender and make sure it is clean, not rusty.

Taillights not working but brake light does

You have a "Dual Element" bulb.
One element is for the tail light, the other for the brake light, all in one bulb.

Usually, one element will burn out before the other.

So, check that both elements are good in the bulb.
If not, replace the bub.

If that's not the problem, check the fuse for the tail light.

Honda vt750 brake light not working have replaced bulb and checked fuses which seem to be ok. Won't work on foot pedal or hand brake, What should I check next?

the wires typicaly are ran under your rear fender, this leads to the possibilty of tire hitting wire and breaking it. friend had a bigdog and everytime his wife rode '*****' (no she aint a hog) around 5 miles brake light would quit.

My 2003 750 shadow spirit tail light/brake light is always on

Ensure the bulb is correctly fitted!!

You must have a foot hand brake switch mal-adjusted / faulty. back them both off (If possible) and it should extinguish.

Does it still work with headlamps off?? If so then one of the switches are faulty / need adjusting.

Rear brake light will not come on when rear brake is applied

If your brake lights are not coming when pressing the foot brake this means that there is something wrong with the switch..Have a closer look near the brake lever and you will see a spring attached to it which in turn is connected to the brake switch..Try to pull it down and if you see your brake lights working then you only need to adjust the spring setting..Else try to make a manual close connection and if it goes on then replace the switch..

2000 crown victoria -brake lites failed

You have a bad switch at the brake pedal. Or a loose wire. Try light pulling on the wires on the switch at the brake pedal under the dash. They should be tight and secure. If tight and secure the switch could be bad.
