SOURCE: Tyre pressures

Hi,

Offhand, the recommended tire pressure could be read on the tire itself. In most instances, this the tire pressure actually depends of:

  • rider's weight, with or without passenger;
  • rider's driving habits;
  • type of road where the bike is often ridden;
  • weather condition and ambient temperature.
Personally, I find a bit lower tire pressure on the front and standard or a bit harder at the back.

Just a start, do postback how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: 2000 Yamaha XJ 900 Diversion. I've got an engine

Have you had it serviced lately?? Is the oil the correct viscosity?? Have you changed the oil filter recently?? Mine went slightly noisey when I replaced the oil and filter, The oil I used was too thick, I`ve got 10W 40 in now, It`s run great since I changed it in April. Touch wood. Ian

SOURCE: Yamaha Diversion Seat removal

There is a key lock on one side just below the side fairing. The ignition key fits it, unlock the seat and then lift from the back.

Cylinder 1 & 4 of my XJ 900 are not firing

hi, check the ignition coils. use 2&3 coil(s) on 1&4 ; if the proble move to the other cilinders you coil is dead. When replacing do them all because coils get tired at the same time.
good luck
