Motorcycle won't shift gears

I have a 1998 Suzuki Intruder 1500LC, and the gears are so stuck the only way to get it to shift is to use the force of my heal. Any idea what my be going on? It also has previously hit a false neutral between 3rd and 4th gear, I don't know if that has anything to do with my current problem or not. Is it possible it's just low on some fluids?

You have bent shift forks my friend. You can take it to the dealer for $$$$ or ask a mechanic in the shop if he fixes bikes at home. This will cost a lot less. My guess is $600.00. Get a firm price before the work starts.

1986 Suzuki Intruder Vs 700 won't shift when running

More information please. What EXACTLY is it doing? Slack clutch lever? Stuck clutch lever? Crunching or grinding as you try to shift? Grabbing and stalling as it selects the gear?
Start at the clutch lever. Check it is pulling the cable then check at the transmission end that the cable is connected and moving with the lever. Next check the lever on the actual transmission. Does it seem too tight or too slack? These will give clues as to where the issue could be.
It's a 37 year old bike so is it the original Clutch? Even motorcycle clutches wear out.

Gear changing getting a bit rough

If the gears change hard you are probably not using the right kind of oil in your engine. Use only a JASO MA certified motorcycle oil. Full synthetic oils will help the motorcycle run cooler and shift easier. Suzuki sells a 15w-50 full synthetic oil that is reasonably priced. Also , do not tap the shifter with your foot when shifting. Place your toe , pressing gently against the pedal , and then shift.

Best engine oil for 98 1500LC 11,000 miles, Shifts hard

Up shifting CLUNK on a shaft drive motorcycle is caused by all the drive line slop. Don't tap the shifter with your foot when you shift. Try putting gentle pressure on the lever with your foot, then pull the clutch and shift the gear. This technique should eliminate the CLUNK.

My 1400 gets stuck in gear, wont shift,I was down a quart of oil

This sounds like a bent shift fork. A bent shift fork will not let the slider gear(s) move properly.
