I have a 2002 HD road king screaming eagle. I'm having issues with the bike missing after it warms up. It runs excellent cold.

Sounds like drumbanger is on the right track. If this bike ran ok in the past and you have not made exhaust or intake changes, the low speed jet may be partially plugged or you have developed an intake air leak. If this problem has always been there or you have changed something, consider going up a size or 2 on the low speed jet.

your cdi unit is suffering a from power surge try to check the output power if it is stable.
SOURCE: 2006 road king engine heat
I don't see how oil can cause an overheating problem. I think the service tech was screwing with the fuel/ignition map when the bike was on the dyno. Is it a F.I. engine? Lean mixture or retarded/over advanced timing will cause this, among other things. The dealer may have to eat the cost of repair if you can prove they caused the problem. An air cooled engine that overheats is gonna self destruct!! Get it checked out NOW.

Your bike's timing can only be adjusted through an interface to your ECM like the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner. Have you made any changes to the exhaust or intake? Have you added and aftermarket item like a Power Commander? changes in these areas could account for the problem you are having. hope this helps.
