In your case I would suspect that your timing is retarded and the bike would run better/correctly if you set it to factory spec. Or maybe you have a mechanical 'advance' and it's stuck in the retarded position?
Good problem ............ let me know how you get on

have you checked the switchs?..all wires are on them..& 1st check the fuse as not blown...the regultor charges the battery....so if the battery is fully charged the indicators & horn should still work..i would look for a wireing fault 1st...hope this helps

The presence of water on the plug, lead and cap play havoc if old or hardened. Replace the cap with a newer "long sleeve" rubber boot that covers more lead and a real tight grip on the ceramic of the plug.
Spray some WD-40 aroung coil wires. You can make up a simple guard from aluminium tape to stop water spray encroaching coil from front tyre.
Check that there is no obstruction on the rear head fins allowing any deluge to fill sparkplug recess.
Ensure there is a good sealing gasket on your left side generator/stator cover and they cover is not distorted or loose.
Good idea to wrap one turn of insulation tape on the bars underneath the switch cluster to stop switchgear shorting out on handlebars when really wet.
