Integrated tail problem

05 R6- i put an integrated tail on it and it didn't come with any prewired connectors and i found that my stock connectors had been cut off the wiring harness so i just had a bunch of loose wires

well after following wiring diagrams its hooked up, all but two wires from the turn signals that i think show go to a ground in the diagram. . .

anyway if the fuse for my headlight is taken out everything works fine, just obviously no running lights so no night riding

if i put the fuse back in i have normal blinkers but no brake lights and the tail light has the normal right red running light but the left side has very dim amber

i think it is possibly my flasher- there is no "click" when my signals are on, but has anyone run into this issue?

yeah i put a load equalizer on it and it made the right side flash slower but not the left blinker, so looked at all wiring on whole bike and found the wires for the left side were crossed in the front by the fuse box and so rewired and works fine, i never thought about it being something in the front

Firstly ground them two wires and see what happens

you have got something screwed up if you gotta take fuses out to get stuff to work.

i find it easy if i draw what i have on paper first. you should have 3 wires for tail and 2 each for turns. those maybe 3 blacks, 1 green, 1 brown, 1 blue, 1 yellow.

Blikers only work with running lights off

You have the tail light you just installed wired wrong or if the new tail light is a LED tail light your looking at the LED's possibly not drawing enough power to make the flasher work. change the flasher to a LED specific one.

I have a 2001 ninja 250 that needs new fairings can I put new model fairings on it or do I have to find custom one and if so can you please help me find a web site that can help me

you sure can but they WILL NOT bolt right up. You will have to modify brakets to fit from the new style fairings to mount to the bike. you will also have to cut and modify the tail/subframe as the older style is much larger. can be done with some experience. I put an 05' r6 tail on a 93 900rr. looked perfect

I just buoght a 2002 r6 and the kid that had it put diffrent turn signals on and they both bling when you turn the right turn signal on

Something is grounding out.
If I had to guess I would say between the tail light and the connectors under the seat. it is pretty exposed and easy to rub bare so that it will ground out. here is a diagram for you..

I need to replace my speedometer head but my car came without a tach, and the only replacement part I can find has a tach in it. It looks like the same shape - will it fit? If so - how do I connect the...

The car came with the options prewired in, and whatever is not needed is just "ignored." If you plug the connector on it should work - being prewired and the wire just not being used. Recommend you make sure all the bulbs are secure before putting it in.

Had an auto gage cluster that went bad found a new one with a tach, how do i wire the tach up

The connector should be prewired - plug the connector on and it should work. Most vehicles come prewired with all wires present - even ones that aren't used.

Change Dodge Ram tail lights from 2005 to new 2008. The wiring harness to change from the 05 to the updated 08 are different. Is there a adapting wire harness from dodge for this?

I just got a pair of 2008 tail light lens for my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. If you look under the rear there is a connector that runs up to the tail light. This is a small harness. I believe that all you need to do is purchase the 2008 tail light harness. It looks like it will snap into the bottom of the stock harness and will fit the 2008 lenses.
