Front fork seals are leaking oil and i would like like to replace them

Unless you've had your front fork assembly serviced recently, I'd guess you've got blown oil seals in the top of the sliders on your forks. If someone serviced your forks lately, they may have put in too much oil and blown the seals. You'll have to drain the forks, disassemble the fork tube from the lower slider and replace the seal in each leaking tube. Refill the fork tube with the designated about of oil for a "dry" refill. Use this figure because the fork tube was disassembled. When you simply drain the forks without a disassembly, you cannot get all the oil out and the refill quantity is less.

Your front fork seal are bad and need to be replaced.
When you loose fork oil, your loosing suspension dampening and only riding on the springs.(POGO)

Replace both front fork seals and dust caps, and put same amount of fork fluid in both forks.

I bought my seals and caps for $30 on ebay, and then took my forks off my bike and took them to a shop and they charged me $75 to do the job.

You can take them the whole bike and they will charge $100 - $150 including parts to do the job.

Each fork has an outer dust seal, and an inner seal inside of that. Dirt gets between the seal lip and the fork slider and causes the oil to escape. The fix is to have them (Both sides) replaced. You need a fork seal driver tool (Size specific for the size of the fork) and something to measure out the oil amount. It's not an easy job, if you have never done it. Also... if the oil has never been changed, it's due.

it sounds like your fork seal has failed,it wont affect your brakes but will make your front suspension feel a wee bit "soggy"and will affect your handling,i would suggest getting the seal replaced as evetually the oil from the faulty seal will contaminate your brake pads that will affect your braking performance,replacing the seal,sooner rather than later ,would be a wise move..hope this helps...cheers

check first to see if the leaking fork has any rust pitting on the chrome,if it has and its a very small blemish then fettle it off first,and just replace the leaking seal,as the saying goes..if it aint broke dont fix it,if the seals had been in the forks for years and the bike not used then consider replacing both..

change the oil seals and oil in the fork,and avoid wheelies on the bike and off road biking 

Yep, drain the fork oil, raise the front wheel in the air, remove the front wheel and axle. The nut to remove the lower leg is at the bottom, hidden by the axle. If it still leaks after seal replacement your fork tubes and lower leg sliders are worn out. Reassemble and remove the top fork cap. Pour in the correct cc of fork oil and ride.

Yes the leak is causing uneven pressure on the front of the bike! The pressure in the left fork is greater then the right fork and will cause shaking of the front end!
Replacing seals and oil to the right fork will fix the shaking!
