Suzuki CS 125 ''roadie'' Bad performance

Can anybody please give me some advice how to get som more power out of my scooter. I don´t think there is any failure in the engine, but it´s very ''slow'', and it´s topspeed are only 40 mph.
Could there be any ''restrictions'' from the factory that is possible to change/remove. What else can be done.?
Most greatful for any suggestions. I love the scooter but need more speed!

Best regards
Thomas

There are a ton of ways to get more HP out of any engine and they all require lots of money. High flow carbs, high flow exhaust, new cams, new sprockets. Speed is never cheap.
