OK so here is what happened. My 2001 Bonneville caught on fire. Thanks to a handy fire bottle the damage was not to bad. I have replaced the carbs and the airbox. I am working on the new wiring harness, however I have ran into to some trouble. Because of the melting of the harness I was unable to take pics of how the wiring harness was routed through the bike. The area around the airbox is where I am having most of the trouble. If someone has any pics of how the harness is routed I would be most grateful. Thanks

SOURCE: 1986 Kawasaki Ninja won't fire
Theres fuel starvation, the carbs are not getting required fuel in other words the float chambers doesnt get the correct amount of fuel .
Check the fuel flow from the petcock to the carburators.
Check the float pin and adjust accordingly to get the right level inthe float chamber of each carburator.

SOURCE: 7 wire harness going to blower motor resistor
There is an updated resistor/connector package. Very expensive from GM, try your local NAPA or other parts supplier for a replacement

you have too much fuel going into to cylinder if backfiring on carb there are 2 screws one for idle and one for mixture the mixture screw is the one you want turn this in 1/2 off turns or more if doesnt help this picture will help buddy
