The Vespa ET4 has fuses on 3 different locations....
1) under the cover on the front shield
2) besides the battery under the seat
3) under the helmet box
under front shiel cover:
- this problem might be a worn variator belt/rollers - Vespa technology requires a variator-belt service every 10'000miles
- contrary to the belief that the carburetor causes such trouble...

in front of the kickstart lever is a nut bolt which you must unscrew.
- but before you do that you need to mark the precise position on the lever axle with a permanent marker - after removing the bolt you can tear off the lever (use WD40 and wobble action)
The battery that powers your scoot has nothing to do with your clock battery. The clock runs on a small round battery directly under the clock. I had to have my shop do it because you have to open up the entire top cover. Cheap fix, and having the date show is great for us oldsters!
