It may be that your spark plug tubes are leaking they have holes to drain pull off your coil packs and check if they have oil on them

  • rc51project Apr 03, 2009

the wholes are there to drain any water (or oil )that may get in the spark plug tubes to prevent a missfire the holes are located at the front of the head just above the header pipe

  • rc51project Apr 04, 2009

just looked at a parts fiche and your valve cover gasket could be letting oil in the cyclinder pull your coil packs and check for oil

Change the oil on a zzr 1100

Warm engine up...

There are two sump bolts on these motors...one near the oil filter bolt under the engine towards the rear...the other is next to the oil cooler line fitting under the front of the motor...remove drain bolts and then remove filler cap as it speeds up draining. When drained...refit bolts and remove oil filter (round cover under rear of motor, centre bolt with same size head as sump plugs). Fit new filter and refill oil with approx. 3.5 litres...

Iv got a 1978 kawasaki ke 125 .. How do i disconnect the oil pump/injection system if its a two cylinder? and im wondering when i got the bike it has two spots for spark plugs but theres a bolt in one...

A 1978 KE125 has only one cylinder. The head does have two spark plug holes. From the factory there is a bolt in one of the holes. The thought behind having two holes is that two plugs can be in the head at the same time so that the rider can just move the spark plug wire from one plug to the other during a race without needing any tools or waste time trying to install a new spark plug. If for some reason you want to disconnect the oil pump, you would drain the oil tank then put a plug on the oil pump infeed line.

Kawasaki Oil Pump Leak

Bad seal in the pump itself. It is like a weep hole in a water pump. It is letting you know it is time to be replaced.
