It's not under the seat which I found out the hard way.. And it appears to be on the bottom of the nike. All I really think I need to do is get at the terminals to try and charge the battery a bit. I don't have a manual so if anyone knows how to get a free manual for the M50, I'd really appreciate it. But for now, if someone could tell me how to get at the terminals I'd be happy enough!

I Hope you have figured this out by now, but the battery is probably at the lowest point on the bike right in front of the back tire. You will need a 10mm socket to open the box, but before you do that use a #3 phillips screwdriver and take the terminals off of each side first. There is a small plastic/rubber cover over them from the sides. Make sure you tighten the front bolts on the battery terminals before you put it back in.
