I HAVE A YAMAHA VSTAR 650, AND I AM LOOKING FOR A HONEST MECHANIC IN NORTHERN NEW JERSEY THAT IS REASONABLE AND DONT RIP YOU OFF.... ANY SUGGESTIONS?

that is a link for a free pdf service manual, which with it you should be able to be your own mechanic. i got it for mine, it for some reason that link dont take you straight to the manual then go here and look for vstar 650 MAIN MAN

Did you check the neutral light, bulb?

I have a yamaha 650 vstar, it will only stay

it sounds to me like clogged jets in the carb u need to take them off and clean the jets with a peice of small wire pull a peice off a wire wheel it works best for the polit jets (small ones ) get a digital camera and take pictures as u go if you are not sure that way u can refer to them if you get lost good luck

2007 650 yamaha vstar popping through the rear cylinder exhaust

First off did you buy it new? Second has it gone through its break in tune up yet?Did you do the re jeting? My guess is it was re jeted wrong & neeeds to be re jeted again or could also need more air(upgraded air kit) or a tfi or power comand fuel mod.My bike also poped untill I did the air & fuel upgrades & them upgrades will also give you a much needed house power needed for this rig.

Bring it to a shop & have it looked at.......
