Holden Viva 2006 manual hatch. Odometer 200 000 kms. Drives well on cool days. On hot days engine begins to cut in and out particularly after engine has warmed up.

there's a pretty good chance you have coolant contamination that's clogging up the flow of the radiator fluid. this would cause unusual strain on the system as it will begin to overheat and the engine may compensate to try to cool it using the thermostat to open the flow of the coolant. but on a cool day, it never needs to.
on a hot day, it's trying to push around gunky coolant and it's not cooling properly, so the engine .. basically sucks to drive.

try having your radiator completely flushed and cleaned out first.

Engine cuts out and does not accelerates

you will have both a throttle position sensor and a peddle position sensor both fitted to your throttle ,the cars ECU must pick up both sensors so it is not doing so you may need to change the throttle body.as you can not just change the sensors on there own.

When accelerating fast the engine cuts out suddenly then returns to normal multiple times. If I try to accelerate at a lower pace then it works fine. It feels like an electronic problem

Engine ECU is provided with a high RPM ignition cut off. Perhaps that is what is confusing you. When you accelerate at a fast rate, probably you get higher RPM's and the ECU cuts the ignition to protect the engine from damage.

Cutting out when accelerating , why ?

it could be that the fuel isn't getting to the engine when your accelerating. try checking to see if the fuel filter is clogged, then try checking all of the filters

Cuts off at 70mph when accelerating.

Best thing to do is go to an Auto Zone and have them scan your truck for any DTC codes. Auto Zone scan free of charge, there is just to many things that can cause the engine issues your running through such as detonation during acceleration due to timing issues to lack of fuel pressure. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you get your truck running 100%
