SOURCE: i need a wiring diagram for the hole wiring harness on a 1979 650
Find a manual, and you will find a diagram. If you have a bike that old, you will need the manual for other things as well.
SOURCE: 1979 Suzuki gs750 bent shift fork how to replace
Hello
This may be a shift fork issue but from a experience i have had that was very similar the issue was resolved by replacing the shifter shaft. In my case the same hard first gear and missed 2 3 4 and 5 the gear shifts. The shifter shaft has a paw assembly on the end just under the clutch hub and it has worn over time. Finaly it stoped shifting all together. The mechanic stated it was most likely from a lot of low speed use (traffic ect) In the end it was a easy fix that did not require the engine to be removed and only minor tear down. A reptuble shop should be able to diagnosis and repair. Just dont go in and ask for a fork replacement. A shop with not the best reptuation will do the job you ask for and then the job you actualy need. find a good shop and pay them for a diagnosis. dealers are more expensive but have saved me a lot on money in the long run
SOURCE: 1979 Suzuki GS750 won't start. new plugs, only
HI THATS ODD TO HAVE 3 SPARKING, AS THE IGNITION COILS ON THE OLD GS WERE 1COIL FOR 2 CYLINDERS IE 1&4 CYLINDERS USED 1 COIL AND 2&3 USED THE OTHER , SO IF YOU ARE GETTING A SPARK AT EITHER OF THESE THAT MEANS THE COIL IS WORKING, ON THE COIL THAT IS ONLY GIVING A SPARK AT 1 PLUG SWAP THE PLUG OVER AND SEE IF IT THEN SPARKS IN THE OTHER CAP THIS WILL ELIMINATE THE PLUG, IF THE PLUG THAT WAS SPARKING IN THE OTHER LEAD NO LONGER SPARKS IN THE OPPOSIT LEAD THEN OBSERVE THE LEAD REMOVE THE CAP AND EARTH THIS OUT WHILE YOU TURN OVER THE ENGINE, THIS WILL ELIMINATE THE CAP,
