No diagram need to bolts on the back side hole the caliper lossening both of these slide bolts out you will need a 6 inch c clamp and a 3/8 allen wrench, to take bolts out then be for removing the brake pads match up each pad, then take the c clamp and old brake pad a press in the caliper piston back repeat this process on replaceing the caliper and new pads. good luck.

SOURCE: fuel filter replacement 1993 Cadillac Deville

hello. it should be located under your car on a line that's coming off your fuel tank and yes you can do this your self very easy to do ,you'll need a few box/open ended wrenches that's it you'll need to check the fitting or the nut on each side of the filter to see what the sizes are, befor removing the filter you'll want to take off your gas cap and remove your neg battery cable ,not when you find the filter it'll have nut on each side all you have to do it loosen them but make sure that you don't break the fuel line or kink it and after you have both sides loose then just finish turning them off and there you go the filter is off, nope no removing the gas tank some newer models you do and the filter is attached to your fuel pump and don't need replaced but for your car and year you wont need to remove the tank. good luck

SOURCE: 1994 cadillac deville 4.9 engine water pump

This can be a major operation. Go to public library and see if they have a chilton repair book on this car. The pump has about twenty bolts af various sizes and torx head bolts.

How to adjust rear brakes on 1993 Cadillac Deville?

About adjusting the rear brakes on your Deville If my memory serves me right you have 4 wheel disc brakes, and if so there is no adjustment other then for the emergency brake. However to manually adjust the rear brakes (they are self adjusting when you back up and pump the pedal) take off the drum and measure the circumference using a tool made for doing that (you could probably borrow it from Auto Zone) Once you have set the measurements of the drum hold the tool to the brake linings and adjust brakes by turning the star adjuster located at the bottom and in-between the brake shoes. NOTE you can only turn it in one direction and that is to tighten. If you can't turn it then it must be removed taken apart and cleaned then use oil to lube it before you put it back on.

Brake fluid is leaking from what appears to be some type of small (index finger size) filter in the brake line under the drivers side passenger door. I've never heard of a filter in the brake line,...

i think what your referring to is a proportioning valve that regulates the pressure to the brake that the line goes to,this helps regulate brake pressure to all the wheels so they are the same during braking so there is no wheel lock up while the other wheels don`t lock up.this is a common place for the fluid to leak out when the car gets old enough due to environmental conditions such as winter driving, corrosion, wet weather (lots of rain),salt conditions(living near salt water),it will have to be replaced and the brake lines should be checked for condition as they may need replacing as well.

Rear Drivers side wheel well problem pipe broke

Hello, If you are refering to a brake line the best thing to do is see if you can get one from a recycle yard. There are no ready made brake lines in parts. You have to buy new line and make it yourself or have someone else make it for you. After installing the new line you will have to bleed the brakes. Go for it.

1993 cadillac deville: caliper problem

on a 1993 Deville I believe that GM installed 2 seperate brake lines from LH and RH leading from the calipers so that if one went out at least you had stopping power in the other caliper. this was done as a safety feature because of past fatalities from previous accidents.

Neutral switch 1993 cadillac

The neutral safety switch is on the top of the automatic transaxle (under the hood). You have to remove the air cleaner assembly for access to this item. Once the air cleaner is off, you can see the switch mounted on top of the transaxle.
Remove the shift linkage, electrical connectors and vacuum hose as needed.
Remove fuel line bracket if needed.
Remove mounting bolts and nuts to remove the old switch.

Install new switch as reverse of above.
Put shift lever in neutral.
Align switch so it's alignment hole and the matching tang hole line up. Tighten down the switch mounting bolts. Verify that the engine starts in PARK and NEUTRAL. Re-adjust if it doesn't.
