SOURCE: 1995 Honda Nighthawk 750 Neutral Light Problem

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Your decribed problem could either be a neutral switch about to fail (least likely) or a loose grounding issue (most likely).  This switch must read 0 ohms to ground when in neutral and infinity (no reading) when in any gear.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

SOURCE: 1991 CB 250 Nighthawk: whats the top speed for a 1991 honda nighthawk 250...

I have had my 2008 Nighthawk 250 up to 70mph with some left over. I just got it so I haven't really run it full throttle yet ( 75 miles on the OD ) I weight 300 lbs. I would guess 80 on a flat road. I felt comfy at 70 but this is my 5th bike. I bought this one for the gas mileage and 1 yr. warranty. I will try actual top speed on the Interstate in about 1000 miles. Hope this helps. I like the bike. Chris

Why do I lose electrical power when I rev up the motor on my 2002 Honda 250 nighthawk? Lights go deem to the point of almost no lights at all.

It cannot be charging by properly if it's anything like a 650 nighthawk the charging systems are useless and under 4000rpm and even then it's poor.

86 Honda nighthawk freezes and won't up shift, 86 Honda nighthawk

Try lubricating the linkage between the shift lever and where the shaft goes into the transmission; if the joints dry out it can be very difficult to shift. You may have to disassemble to clean, but even some spray lithium grease should improve shifting if the links are the problem.

Honda 750 stalls if throttle is opened unless choke is on.

Hmm , sounds like a vacuum leak, check all the hoses, and the rubber intake manifolds and clamps
