Two things, it could be the cable that has jammed between inner and outer. Remove the cable from the system and check it if it does work.( the cable should move freely with out much of resistance) if not than it has to be realeased or replaced.
If the cable does run freely than there is a problem at the carburator chole linkage, check that out too.
Testimonial: "Thanks very much for getting back to me so quickly. So, I have run the cable from the linkage under the tank (in front of the cylinders)up to the handle bar and everything runs smoothly, so I assume the problem is a jammed lever. Any advice on how to remove the assembly from the handle bar? Never done any work myself before this."

unless you have piped with atfermarket pipes it should not need done yet. Best way to control all timing and carb issues is with a power commander unit. Or have access to a durometer flow meter or Carb sync. This is not an EFI correct
SOURCE: how do you adjust the headlight up and down on a
There should be 2 screws on each side which holds the light housing, losen then about 2 turns, adjust the headlight accordingly and tighten all back again. If you are doing it yourself, do it in your dark garage or at night time (dusk) so you can see the height you wanted.
SOURCE: cant get the seat off
There are two bolts (they take allen keys) one on each side of the seat(toward the back before the rear seat pillion or cowl cover) remove those and it will slide to the back to remove it.
