I run 91 Octane as it is the highest grade available where I live. If you can get 93 I would recommend that.
My Daytona runs between 5 and 6 bars on the temperature gauge. You'll find it will vary based on outside air temperature.
You should look into getting "TuneECU". Its free software that you can use to connect to the bikes computer. Downloaded it here http://www.tuneecu.com/
You should be able to pick up a ODBII - USB cable for under $20.
With the software it will tell you what trouble codes or errors the ECU is having.

SOURCE: engine management light
Engine management light was on permernantly after replacing battery, took advice and let bike idle until thermo fan started, turned bike off and let thermo fan stop, restarted bike and engine management light went off. this proceedure resets engine management system. GREAT ADVICE thanks.

I have just found my 30 amp fuse blown on my daytona , this prevents the alternator working , it was reading 10.9v before I changed the 30 amp fuse , now it reads 14.5 volts , I think I blew it as I didnt know how to put the alarn into service mode and left the ignition on , anyway I am hoping its just that , 3 heat up/cool down cycles and the engine management light should go out
