Clicking when trying to start is usually the sound of the starter solenoid. The problem based on the fact that eventually it will start will either be a loose or dirty connection at the battery (most likely if it is a connection issue), ground on the block, or power wire at starter, or the starter itself is on the way out.

The basics is it takes 3 things to start a engine. 1) Spark 2) Fuel 3)Compression. One of these is missing or partially missing. You may have all new tune up stuff on it, but you have other things to be concerned with. Fuel Pressure is important and could be losing fuel pressure when sitting. It's not that cut and dry.

I HADE SAME PROBLEM WITH 2001,CHANGED DISTRIBUTOR FIXED THE PROBLEM.EASY TO CHANGE JUST MARK WHERE ROTER IS POINTING LOSEN 1 BOLT AT BASE UNHOOK WIRES PULL OUT AND REPLACE WITH NEW OR USED ONE, LINE UP ROTOR BOLT IN NO TIMING TO AJUST
