I have a 2007 Yamaha FJ 1100 and I think it's a great bike if your into the cruiser thing. Too old (fat)for sport bikes and too young to stop riding altogether.
i pulled out yamaha xj 1100 battery but now when I was putting new bettery there is no start am i missing any wire to connect?
Make sure the new battery has fresh acid in the cells. I did the same thing with a battery I bought and forgot to add the acid and charge the battery up so my bike didn't start. Got distracted with the wife's todo list....

If you are sure that the battery is fully charged, you might have an issue with the bike starter, make sure that all the connections at the starter are clean and not corroded.
hi,you can get most sizes for a fj,check your local bike shop,if they dont have any in stock they can be made to order, they are a fairly common bike so you shouldnt have any problem, just make sure you get the right pitch sprocket,i think from memory that the fj is a 530 pitch, hope this helps...cheers
hi,generally speaking yes, they have a very forgiving engine with gentle power delivery(no sudden surges of power like sports bikes)they are also very comfy to ride and yet even though it is only a 250 it will cruise quite comfortably at highway speed..enjoy..hope this helps
Yep I can help. The clutch has about 6-8 or more plates in it.When they are not used they can stick together. It needs to be taken apart, cleaned and put back together in exactly the same order.Instead of all the plates slipping, only a few spin. This goes into the g/box and makes it spin when it should be stopped. The fj have a great clutch in them. This may really help your problem.
