Locate engine and Vin numbers

no not original transmisson not even on the vin plate
only engines are recorded on registration papers
..
vin plate decoded number will designate
CVT , std automatic or manual gearbox

mazda 3 BK series
will have a
designated gearbox fitted for the 2004 to 2008 models
production run

Jan, I am not familiar with that model, I recommend you return to the shop that changed engine for you and have them find and record the engine # for you.Check the attached links they may help you find engine #. Those are not VIN numbers. VIN numbers can be found by looking at the tag at the bottom of the windshield on the drivers side, or on the insurance or registration documents.

It is in the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) located by your inspection sticker in the windshiled, it is a little riveted plate on the corner of the dash below the windshield and in the corner - can only be viewed from outside.
The engine code is a particular digit, it's the 8th digit on your VIN.
If you call any parts store or the dealer they can tell you what engine is in your vehicle by that digit. They can also give you a spare key (at a price) if you ever lose your key, only need identification, your registration and usually 50. to $200 if you have a chip in your key. Just saying...
Go to this website I found through a google search and enter your VIN (which is also on the Registration) and this site says it will give you info on your car.

Contact your local Mercury dealer in person. You will need your VIN number, Registration and an ID usually a drivers Lic. with an address that matches the registration address.

LOOK AT YOUR VIN NUMBER THROUGH WINDSHIELD 8TH NUMBER FROM LEFT TO RIGHT ENGINE CODE OR LOOK ON YOUR VECHICLE REGISTRATION. VIN H 305 ENGINE AND VIN K 350 SOME TIMES 305 OR 350 BE ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD OR FOUND ENGINE CASE PAD FRONT RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE CYLINDER BLOCK.

Count the VIN number from the left to the 8th place. That is your engine code. If you can't read the VIN through your windshield, then you can find it on your registration.

you should have a sticker under the hood giving engine family and size plus the vin on these models is 0 making this engine a 1.6 liter. these vehicle where only made for 3 years 90-91-92. hope this helps.

The Engine Number is Coded Inside the VIN Number. Write it down and Contact your Closest Ford Dealer and they can tell you Just from your VIN Number.

wow someone knows their stuff ,if not sure where numbers are i ask in our local annual vehicle inspection station ,dont you have one??
