SOURCE: 1985 nighthawk sc 700 leaks small amount of gas

Is it leaking when you have it sittin strait up and down and running? If it leaking when it is not running then I would say you have a sticking fuel float.

SOURCE: what engine will replace my 700 sc nighthawk 1984

If yuou have the time money and expertise you can put any type of engine in your bike ,its just a matter of how far you wish to go. You must make sure that if you are thiking of changing you existing engine .And replacing with another make or cc That you have the space for a replacement .Also will the engine bolts line up with existing frame mounts .You may have to have engine plates made .and will the drive line up from engine to rear wheel .Its not as simple as people think .And if you ever want to sell it what will be its appeal to a buyer .?

SOURCE: I need the ignition out so that I can go get a new

Your key code is on the helmet lock, the tumblers of the ignition, and on the underside of the gas cap. It is a six digit code the last three of which are the code( xxxA56). If you take a 10 mm socket and a long extension you can reach up underneath the lock, remove the two mounting bolts, and pull the lock out the bottom. Most motorcycles have a headlight with a mounting bolt on each side. By taking one of these bolts you can usually swing the headlight or in this case the fairing out of the way. Removal of the switch may not be necessary to read the key code(Honda usually stamps it facing the frame neck). One key fits all the locks on the bike if no locks have been changed.

How do I be replaced the rods in my 1986 honda nighthawk 700

Hate to sound like a smart $$s but if you have got to ask then you don't have the tools or mechanical knowledge to do the work. If you feel the rods need replacing I'd strongly suggest ether finding a motorcycle mechanic or purchase another bike. This is not a simple repair and it's costly certainly it will cost more to repair then what you could get another bike for
