It's common for some models of modern 4 stroke bikes to overheat if you are riding in tight technical terrain or if you are going slow for whatever reason because you need constant air passing through the radiator to cool the bike. When you start the bike let it sit for a minimal amount of time, no need to warm it up for minutes. Then when you stop turn it off, don't sit there and keep it idling if you are riding with buddies or whatever. Also use Engine Ice, the boiling temp is 15 degrees higher than water. If that doesn't work then you can get larger aftermarket radiators. Last resort is an aftermarket or KTM cooling fan kit. You may need to run it off a battery pack or get a aftermarket stator which can product the extra power needed. The fan uses a thermostat so it turns on at about 185/195 and then off at 165/175 depending on which thermostat comes with your kit.
I got a 2005 rmz 250 is it true you have to adjust the valves every 10 hrs of ride time
Check the thermostat in the bike it may not be opening at all sounds like it is not working and also check the water pump as well
