It's common for some models of modern 4 stroke bikes to overheat if you are riding in tight technical terrain or if you are going slow for whatever reason because you need constant air passing through the radiator to cool the bike. When you start the bike let it sit for a minimal amount of time, no need to warm it up for minutes. Then when you stop turn it off, don't sit there and keep it idling if you are riding with buddies or whatever. Also use Engine Ice, the boiling temp is 15 degrees higher than water. If that doesn't work then you can get larger aftermarket radiators. Last resort is an aftermarket or KTM cooling fan kit. You may need to run it off a battery pack or get a aftermarket stator which can product the extra power needed. The fan uses a thermostat so it turns on at about 185/195 and then off at 165/175 depending on which thermostat comes with your kit.

Fiat palio overheating

Flush out coolent system, make sure your cooling fan for the engine is not faulty, replace waterpump and thermostat, fill with coolent, and im 99% sure you will not overheat as long as your coolent is topped off. Guarenteed!

My 2005 chrysler town and county is overheating i put coolent and change the fuse and change the heatercore but it still overheats what else could it be

The basics!!! The first thing I change when a vehicle is overheating is the thermostat! The second thing I check is the water pump, the third is the radiator cooling fan.

I have a 63 impala. I was leaving coolant puddles through the over flow tube. I changed the thermostat however it is still leavign puddles and ideas? Also the car is not overheating

Even though you aren't overheating it still may be an indication of a blockage in the radiator/cooling system. Are you sure it's not starting to overheat? Do you have a gauge or a dummy light? BTW 63 Imp is a sweet ride =)

Keeps overheating, air bubbles up radiator when started

Air is being pumped into the system.

Bad gasket is most likely the problem.

Overheating

If you did indeed overheat the engine to the point that is stuck, you would probably know it by the antifreeze being poured all over the ground. The bike would be really hot just sitting on it. It would smell like antifreeze and just smell hot.. I know, smell hot? but an engine that has been ran to hot has a pretty distinctive hot smell... It doesnt sound like an overheating situation if none of the above happened. A bike that is overheating will begin to loose power before it stops. LIke lacuna said, everything inside of the engine will start to expand from the heat and the piston will stick in the cylinder. Most of the time when this happens, the bike will cool off and restart. But, usually with problems. Warped or cracked head, cracked block, broken piston rings. These engines are aluminum and dont like to be overheated and warp really easy. If the engine is really hot, it will not turn over until it cools down enough. Im not saying it couldnt have overheated and then restarted without any problems, its happened before, but just not likely. But, if this is the case, take lacunas advice and change all of the fluids. Your oil will be nasty. Maybe get ahold of the previous owner and see if it has had any probems. It kinda sounds electrical to me. as long as the above overheating signs didnt happen. If you dont think it was overheating and it happens again, try to push start the bike to see if the engine turns over. even putting the bike in second or third gear just see if you can move the bike back and forth. If nothing else, you'll at least know its not locked up.
