SOURCE: oil & filter change myself
Ok pal here we go...grab that oil cover and wiggle, pound and pull..it's just stuck..that bolt has an o ring on the other side thats why it doesn't pull out easily....go to a good motorcycle parts store and get a filter and 4 qts of Castrol Syntec Actevo 10-40wt Pour oil into dipstick hole, bike on centerstand on LEVEL ground..pour 2 qts in and chk dipstick then top off slowly...checking stick every 1/4 qt button her up and have a great ride for me....Drain bolt is on bottom of crankcase and is 17 mm in case you didn't know...Good Luck to you friend......Tim

You may have already done this. I'm assuming you have the original BS32SS Mikuni constant velocity (CV) carbs. They were used on 80-82 models. With the fuel bowl and float chamber gasket off, set floats to 21.4 - 23.4 mm (0.84-0.92 in.) If the float chamber gasket is still on the carb, reduce the measurement by approximately 1mm. As a side note, I went to an auto parts store to buy a gauge to set mine - they didn't sell them individually. Parts man told me to walk across the street to a car repair shop that had bought several carb kits from him. Each carb kit has the L-shaped gauge with it. I checked with repair shop and they gave me one for free. For simplicity's sake, I set mine to 22 mm (without the gasket in place) on all 4 carbs. Hope this helps someone.
