How do you change the timing belt on a John Deere Sabre ride on.

I have a 2000 Johne Deere Sabre 2046 HV and need a belt routing diagram and belt size

Hi Amy,

I also have a 46" Sabre deck and replaced my belt. The easiest way to describe is that the belt runs directly between the outer 2 blades across the back of the deck and threads through the front pulleys. Once I saw that detail, I was able to save a $40 belt install charge. Hope this helps someone. Cheers, Dean.

click on which model (either yellow deck or black deck) alphabetically pick which belt,
a diagram should appear in the right hand corner.
