Torque setting Toyota Land-cruiser 80 Series 4.5 1995-98
Engine code: 1FZ-FE, 1HD.
Stage 1: 20 Nm (Start tightening bolts from center to outwards)
Stage 2: 39 Nm
Stage 3: Rotate each bolt by 90 Degrees.
Stage 4: Further rotate each bolt by 90 Degrees

Sorry mate but it sounds like you might have a small hairline crack in your head or you coudd try torquing your head down again, make sure you are using the correct method usually torque from the middle of head out toward edg

Get a service manual for it. It will show the torque settings and the correct tightening sequence

70-75 foot pounds. Final torque must be reached in 3 equal steps, torque each to 25 foot pounds then 50 foot pounds, then 75 foot pounds. Recheck final torque in sequence.
