Honda VFR800 Fi 2000 W Reg LCD clock problem

Hi,
With the clock showing the correct time, when I start the engine, the clock changes to 1.00 am. When I reset the clock to correct time it remains OK until I come to start the engine again and it resets to 1.00am?. Anyone any ideas?.

The problem is usually a weak battery. When cranking, it pulls down the system so much that the clock resets. Try puting the batt on a charger and start the bike to see if the clock resets with a steady feed of voltage.

Placed a new battery in my 2002 vfr800 it hasnt run for aver 18 months and now it still wont start the F1 light is on and there is no nutrel light

The on board Fuel Injection ( FI ) sensors have detected a major fault in the injection system. Minor faults will alert you of a problem but still let the engine run. Major faults will not let the engine run. Take the bike to a dealer so they can plug in a fault reader to find exactly what the problem is. Be aware that the problem may actually be a bad sensor.
