Loosen clutch cable (if not hydraulic clutch) completely (clutch cable adjustment is about 1/2 way down cable.
Remove derby cover on primary cover. Looks similar to this:

Loosen locknut on adjuster screw in center of clutch pressure plate:

Screw adjuster in until it JUST touches.
Back off 1/2 to 1 full turn.
Hold screw to prevent it turning while locknut is tightened.

Readjust clutch cable until it has about 1/16" to 1/8" free pay.

Measure by pulling cable away from clutch lever and check the gap:

My dad has a difficult time finding neutral on his 99 road king classic. is there a way to adjust?

I have a 99 FLHT. The issues are the same with finding neutral. This was because of a gear design change in the tranny to supposedly make the trans quieter.
So that said, do this, while in 1st, clutch pulled in, rev (blip throttle) motor slightly with upwards pressure on the shift lever. This blip breaks the friction between the plates in the clutch pack taking the pressure off the trans gears which helps get it into neutral.
BTW, this issue was present in my 1990 Softail as well, what worked then still works now.

'06 vtx 1300 c : engine dies when put into gear

You have one of two things going on. (1) You need to check the kick stand switch, your bike thinks the kick stand is still down. It may have been loosened out of adjustment by vibration. If the kick stand switch is out of whack, it will restart as long as the clutch in pulled in. But as soon as you try to let out the clutch it will kill the engine, if it is in gear. (2) Next problem could be, you need to loosen up the clutch cable a little bit, The clutch control on the handle bar has a screw type of adjuster (clutch cable passes through it ), try loosening it till it's easy for you to move the bike without the engine shutting off. Hope it helps and comment if you need more clarification.

When starting my 06 corolla i have to push the clutch all the way to the floor. do i need i adjustment my car only has 53,000 miles but i drive in stop and go traffic everyday

There is a starter cut out switch on the clutch pedal that may be adjusted too low. You do have to have the clutch pedal depressed to crank the starter over. My old Corolla's clutch seemed to be getting lower and lower, but the clutch was OK, the clutch cable ran over a pulley wheel that had broken away from the firewall.

Plenty of slack in cable and clutch arm at case?Requires side cover removal and it is easy. Important to put proper oil back in engine. Wet clutches don't loke motor oil

How do i adjust a clutch on a 06 dyna low rider

In alot of cases after the clutch lever is removeds and reinstalled you will have to some minor adjustment. Start by setting the adjuster on the clutch lever to the center then start playing with the adjustment on the crankcase. once everything is in adjustment to where you like then lock everything down.
