1994 suzuki quadrunner 250 is having a problem running

I bought the four wheeler about two months ago and it was'nt running right. we thought it was the fuel pump so i took it off cleaned it and tied it below the gas tank, it still did'nt run right so we adjusted the valves a little, we dont have a feeler gage so we just adjusted a little, it seemed to help it a little but the spark plug turned black and it would bog down and die. So i put the fuel pump back and it ran fine but now it has very little power, it accelerates very slow. would it be the valves.

My 96 suzuki quadrunner 250 and I thought my throttle cable was in a bind not in a bind idles fast when you turn right what is wrong

Possibly if moisture has got in and created rust then you have a problem. With the engine not running twist the throttle very slowly to full limit then let go the spring should snap the whole thing shut instantly. If this does not happen the cable is binding. Undo the cable at the twist grip end and get as much lube down it as possible a clamp type cable luber will help.

It has been sitting or 3 months and won't start and it is a kick start Suzuki 4 wheeler and it was running great 3 months ago but this cold whether I think is what the problem is .

Hi erik
My first point of call would be to clean the spark plug, it could have gotten corroded while the bike has been standing. Hope this helps.

Have 2007 suzuki vinson quadrunner 500 4x4,only runs at idle with choke on ,has been sitting for year, new gas in it now.

Mine did the same thing. I took the air filter off and there was about a half inch of gas sitting in the bottom, so I just soked that up started the wheeler and covered the air hole w my hand and hit the gas. After that it started working. It died when I did that and then it started right up.
