Use Yamaha suspension oil #01. Amount is 19 ounces. Oil level from top surface w/o cap nut is 3.15" to 5.51". I am sending you a link to a site where you can download a free shop repair manual. It is actually a bit complicated as you will see in the manual.

The factory fill is 4.3 litres. Thats new empty lines...etc.
3.75 to 3.9 quarts is a normal drain.

Ihave the 2009, and I believe they are the same...I use amsoil synthetic 10w-40 and replace the filter every three hours. (Race conditions) Yamaha also sells a good semi-synthetic that is good.
With filter, I measure 1160cc's of engine oil to fill it.
