Put a wide glide front end on a 2000 fxdl got all done and checked lights thay all worked fine the next day i checked lights again i had no turn signals or brake lights or horn or speedo i checked for grounded or broken wires could not find any checked fuses all ok
SOURCE: Speedo, turn signals, brake lights, horn stopped working. All else is fine.
Gap your plugs to 38 thou. Check all your bulbs (one burned out will affect the rest) Take a look at all your fuses and make sure they are all ok. Otherwise you are probably looking at a wiring short which will require trouble shooting of the elctrical system. Buy your self a service manual for your bike, this will help you a lot.

Sounds like you pulled some wires out . Double check your wires in the handle bar area .

You need the complete front end including the wheel. The FXDWG is somewhat of an oddball in that a lot of parts fit only that bike. A lot of other parts will not fit a Wide Glide. This even applies to the exhaust system.
Measure the diameter of your upper fork tubes, they're 39 mm tubes. The Wide Glide uses 41 mm tubes. The Wide Glide also uses a 21" front wheel.

Check the wiring within the headlight shell--look for connectors that may be corroded or pulled loose. A little WD-40 will favor connection integrity when sprayed into the connectors, then coupling and uncoupling them several times. Hope this helps!

Ok for the brake light, the pressure switch for the rear brake may be bad. Find the rear brake master cylinder and follow the metal brake line that comes out of it going to the rear of the bike. You'll find a tee fitting in the line with the pressure switch screwed into it. Check to make sure the wires are plugged onto the spade connectors. If they are, the switch is probably bad and needs to be replaced. Simply screw the old one out and screw the new one in. Do not depresses the rear brake pedel while the switch is out of the line.
As for the tail light, if the bulb is good, you have a wiring problem and need to find where the wires is broken.
Good Luck
