Wont start headlights wont come on, wont start, cranks

I believe you have a battery that is just about gone. My Indian Roadmaster requires quite a bit to start and when my battery was gone, everything worked except for the starter. No clicking ... nada. My headlight would turn off when I would hit the starter button as well. I replaced the battery and the world was good again. Pull your battery...and many places will check it out for you.

You mean your starter doesn't crank the engine? Turn your headlights on and try to start the car, do headlights get dim when you turn the key?

if it dont crank use jumper cables, that is the first best tests.
if it cranks fast, ask for help, (hint check spark)

Just because the headlight work doesn't mean the battery is good enough to crank the engine, that takes 150"s of amps or more. Bottom line have the battery tested by a local parts store, it is free.

sounds like a bad starter, test for power with a testlight,have someone crank the engine while you check for power at starter , the small wire should have power when key is in start position. if theres power then replace starter, hope this helps good luck.

Sounds like a wire or plug got disconnected while changing the headlight out, the harness that connects to the clutch safety switch, the one that lets the ignition fire when cranking only when the clutch is pulled in. A safety feature so you don't dump the bike if you crank it while in gear.

what do you mean "bad starting"

starter dosnt engage?(starter engauges but dosnt catch flexplate or flywheel, maybe dosnt engauge at all)
barely turns over? (like theres no battery causing hard crank)

you can test your battery by starting the car with the headlights on, if the headlights go dim the battery is bad. your battery could be out of date or the alternator could be bad and not charging the battery.
